South East Community Links believes that safe, secure and affordable housing is an entitlement held by every member of our community. Our Youth Housing program (for people between 17-24 years of age) can support you to address a wide range of issues that may be creating instability in your housing situation or increasing your risk of homelessness.

If you are experiencing housing problems such as:

  • housing affordability
  • threat of eviction
  • overcrowding
  • homelessness

A member of our Youth Housing team can support you to stabilise your immediate housing situation and develop strategies for maintaining stable housing into the future.

The Youth Housing team can assist you to identify and apply for housing that meets your current needs and circumstances:

  • Private rental
  • Shared housing
  • Public housing
  • Women’s housing
  • Emergency accommodation

We can advocate on your behalf to ensure that you are being treated fairly in your efforts to keep your existing accommodation or to find secure and stable accommodation.

  • Negotiate with landlords and real-estate agents if your rent is in arrears
  • Assistance with Bond Loan applications
  • Assistance with application for private rental
  • Public housing applications and review of existing applications

South Community Links understands that many things can challenge our ability to maintain a safe, secure and affordable place to call home. We can support you to access a wide range services and in your community supporting you to address these issues as part of a plan to achieve secure and stable accommodation.
