Economic Inclusion Mentorship Program

Do you have an interest to assist migrant women from culturally diverse backgrounds to achieve their individual employment and education goals?

Are you a professional or recently retired?

South East Community Links is looking for Volunteer Mentors to assist Mentees with

  • Job seeking
  • Resume writing
  • Interview training
  • Course search
  • Connecting with relevant education/training or work experience opportunities

Volunteer Mentors must be able to commit to 2 hours per week for 6-12 months.

The support you will be offering will be meaningful, empowering and life changing.

L 2 P Mentoring

Love driving and want to give back to your community?

L2P is the volunteering opportunity for you.

Our program matches learners with qualified volunteer drivers, providing a safe environment to learn the fundamentals and build up practice hours.

Come join our fantastic group of L2P Mentors who contribute over 2000 hours of their great driving knowledge to young people in our community every single year.

SECL delivers the TAC – L2P program in Kingston, Monash and the City of Greater Dandenong areas.

To become a volunteer Mentor you need to:

  • be able to commit two hours per week to support your learner driver
  • be at least 25 years of age
  • be able to obtain or currently hold a Working with Children’s Check
  • be a holder of a current full Victorian Drivers Licence
  • be able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of volunteering

We will provide you with VicRoads L2P Mentor training including an online module and hands on training at no cost.

Homework Club Tutoring

Want to inspire young people to embrace a life of learning?

Our homework club gives young people the tools they need to reach their academic goals.

We rely on our team of passionate, volunteer tutors to cultivate a relaxed, fun learning environment.

SECL homework club runs weekly Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30pm until 6pm from SECL Noble Park site 60 Douglas Street, Noble Park. Vic 3174.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, SECL Homework club can be accessible online via ZOOM meeting.
