You may not be aware that it is just on 50 years since SCAAB and DCAB, the forerunners of SECL, were established. As such the SECL Board is preparing for a number of celebrations once we all come through the current COVID-19 crisis.
We are currently preparing a history of the organisation encompassing DCAB, SCAAB, SEAAC, Youth Links and SECL over the past 50 years.
We are seeking staff support in two key areas:
First, we want to acknowledge the great work being done by all current staff, volunteers and students. To this end we plan to highlight our “Class of 2020” in the history document we are preparing.
Second, we want to be sure we acknowledge the key people who have been drivers, influencers and contributors to our organisation over 50 years.
So that we can collate all this information in a timely fashion a response via email to Lorraine would be appreciated by say Friday the 18th of September 2020 – 5 weeks away.
Please note that of course any participation in this exercise is totally voluntary. However, I’m sure that in future years you and all your colleagues would like to be able to look back on the “Class of 2020” and reminisce.
